 Asian Lettuce Wraps Inspired by P.F.Chang's


Not sure what you want to cook because your items are in storage? Maybe you forgot how to cook because you don't cook and bake as much, try this recipe out of Taste of Home cookbook from page 115.

It's less than 30 minutes, so go for it!

Serves 4 people.

1 Tbsp. canola oil

1 lb. lean ground turkey

1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and minced

2 green onions, thinly sliced

2 Tbsp. lime juice

2 Tbsp. reduced-sodium soy sauce

1 to 2 Tbsp. chili garlic sauce

1 to Tbsp. sugar or sugar substitute blend equivalent to 1 Tbsp. sugar

12 Bibb or Boston lettuce leaves

1 medium cucumber, julienned

1 medium carrot, julienned

2 cups beans sprouts


In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add turkey; cook 6-8 minutes or until no longer pink, breaking into crumbles. Add jalapeno, green onions and garlic; cook 2 minutes longer. Stir in basil, lime juice, soy sauce, chili garlic sauce and sugar, heat through.

Next, to serve, play turkey mixture in lettuce leaves, top with cucumber, carrot and bean sprouts. Fold lettuce over filling.
