Take bath/shower 51
Running frantic in the middle of the night, Jodi called for help. She didn't call a friend, but she called someone from her church that recently shared their testimony.
When she settled down after some hysterical moments from domestic violence, she stepped into a nice warm shower, 24 hours later.
She was glad to be away from the perpetrator picking at her all the time. Jodi didn't have to worry anymore about if she was hanging out with her friends too much or too late.
No more walking on eggshells about coffee mix not right or laundry not folded to her husband's expectations.
Jodi didn't have children to worry about which gave her some leverage. Most women are concerned for their children (rightly so) and wonder how they will feed and clothe them and make their exit from a defiled energy sucking relationship.
Thank God there ARE so many smart women. There are smart women all around, but sometimes, what's the answer to all the domestic violence issues because there are many.
Thinking about safety and shelter. Wondering about the cash flow and transportation to and from the job. What about gaining access to all the resources that are available? The list goes on a mile or so.
What is the route women take to empower themselves from dysfunctional-types?
All of the scenarios are different. Believe me, I've talked with so many women who have shared their story and then, I certainly have my own unique story as well.
It wasn't until YEARS later (wish it was sooner, but, at least I have a daily relationship with him for sometime now) that I started to have a relationship with our Lord and savior Jesus Christ.
So, I leave you with a cleansing prayer that when you speak it out loud (and cater it to you speaking it), the Lord washes any of the "gunk" away...shame, guilt, low-self-esteem, whatever you've been dealing with (or someone that you know). It works and I highly recommend it:
"Abba Father, I stand against all types of domestic violence and abuse and I bind every evil spirit associated with them
I command any & everything that destroys a person's self-respect, self-worth & confidence and leaves them with feelings of low self esteem and depression to be taken out of relationships" (Prayer: Pinterest. Full prayer at www.christianstt.com)
For other cleansing prayers, take a bath (or shower) with Psalm 51; spray wash the enemy! No more shame! No more guilt! No more feeling like you're not worthy because you are worthy!
