" Catapulting" steps to empowerment from domestic abuse

Watching a toddler take steps for the first time is breathtaking, exciting, and momentous; it should be documented and usually is by most.

Each step takes courage, muscle, and desire (are you ready?).

Same for any woman moving forward from an abusive relationship.

There is quite a bit in stake; her confidence, livelihood, and worth to name a few.

At some point, a woman wants to (paraphrasing) "shake off the dust" (Matthew 10:14 NIV) realizing her situation with the perpetrator isn't going to work and she needs "change." But how will her dreams manifest?

After "realizing" she wants and deserves better, she makes the change (what does that look like for you? Make a list ____, ____, _____, _____, etc.).

Certainly, changes takes extra effort on her part, making personal and external changes which increase her self-esteem....WOW! She starts to feel the "shift."

Support groups are encouraging, inspiring, and uplifting. Thank goodness there are a plethora of groups available (check your local listings). W.E.S.| Women Empowerment Solutions is in the process of creating support groups- if you are interested, and, in the Tulsa/Owasso area, let us know by responding to this post or you can also find us via Facebook as well. We're happy to hear from you.

Taking action, healing, and restoration are also very important elements which catapult you into your future of empowerment too. We are excited that you are taking "baby steps" that catapult you into your future, Women Empowerment Solutions.
