Moving forward without the push
Sitting on the front porch, Susan waved at Simon.
She knew Simon lived in the neighborhood somewhere.
He came through smiling most often, and other times, he was focused on work.
Simon did landscaping work for Joslin Tree, so he was in the area quite a bit.
Susan had been on her own for at least ten years. She had previously been married to Tom, who lost his temper at the drop of a hat. For her, finding that special someone was more than outer looks, as well it should be.
Her list was a mile long for the gentleman that she might choose again, even if it were Simon (or not). Susan thought about character traits and values because they mean so much to her. Seems like muscle-toned Simon has good qualities working on his job for as long as he has, and every day. He's never flirted with her while working, just a simple smile.
She has also had a keen eye for any rebellious behavior while on the job; you know, like fit throwing because of an assignment maybe not wanted. Simon appears to be as clean as a white sheet of paper,
perhaps there are a few pepper spots here and there, but nothing horrible.
Susan ponders the decision of possibly opening- up to Simon if the opportunity arises. Gratefully, she's been delivered from any past experiences with her former guy who beat her. That happened the moment she accepted Jesus Christ in her life and had a prayer team pray a deliverance prayer with her so she could move on; often times, that's just necessary.
Anyone can read about deliverance in Galatians. There is tips, tools, and guidance to help you. If you don't know or understand (which, it usually takes someone pretty- well versed in this area), talk with your church & if you do not have one, I suggest Harvest Church Broken Arrow if you are in the city or another church of your liking. One that speaks about His Holy Spirit and educates you about the
kingdom of heaven.
