New pants, new shoes, something in the news

We look for new clues, but sometimes get the blues

Look in the mirror wanting a new career

A way to escape, there’s too much duct tape

Cinnamon crepe, no smoke vape

Trying my best to keep in shape

He saw me in the gym, but I’d rather swim

Loosing anything from the past

Swimming in the water fast

Keep my mind focused, oh the hostess

Names won’t get me down, I am not bound

Sugar and ice, mocha a la rice

Roll the dice, it’s not one size

Maybe a game for you, he has a Fu Manchu

Know your signs, fishing lines

Hollywood lines, linens, and living room blinds

What do you see and is there a fee? Did it leave behind debris?

Eileen Seefluth has a love for writing, which began as a small child. She knew by the time she was 12 she wanted to be a newscaster/reporter. She overcame her own challenge with domestic violence a few years shy of 40. At that point she went back to school and earned her degree in radio and television broadcasting and communications. She has worked as a freelance news editor and writer at channel 8 in Tulsa. She spent four years in Toastmasters, winning a speech contest while there. She also worked in radio in Tulsa and television in Columbus, Georgia. Her professional writing website is: www.eileenseefluth.com. She divides her time between her own charitable organization and other non-profits in the Tulsa area, especially those serving to empower women from domestic violence in various ways.
