Why Communion is Empowering and For All
Good morning, how's are you today?
My hope is that you are doing well. I know there is so much going on in the world right now, and in
your personal lives, and gratefully, there is help for ways to tune into the right channels. Here is one
way, which is powerful, moving, and life-giving.
I recently had a conversation with a very good person which led me to ask if they would want to join me
in communion a.k.a. the bread of life!
The time was not long and drawn out. It was sweet, special, communing, and relational. Though it only
took a matter of minutes, it was full of goodness and empowering in every sense of the word!
I would like to share a little bit about communion. It's not just about Catholics receiving communion,
but those who are open to time with heavenly father.
You have heard (or read about) the paper boy back in the day, "Extra, Extra, Read All About It!" Well,
There's extra everything in communion. I will share what I know.
Getting in the presence of God is important. How do you do that? Sing, worship. Have you ever
noticed when you are at church you sing songs? Some churches sing maybe 10-15 minutes, others 30
minutes, and others, an hour. The more you sing, the more you connect.
I know what I have recently learned from Rick and Denise Renner is that some people may be thinking
of food when singing to the Lord, like pizza or a hot and juicy burger because they are hungry. Maybe
it's the biscuits and gravy or a nice smoothie as you may have missed at breakfast. It could be another
reason other than food you may not be in full concentration of the songs. The point is, to really get into
worship connecting with the father honoring and respecting him. He sure does deserve it.
As you prepare to take the elements, bread and water, you share with him you are coming to his
communion table. Repenting for any sin is a good starting part. Asking for forgiveness, forgiving your-
self of anything, and receiving his forgiveness is freeing.
Being honest, and just between you and the father, speak out whatever is on your heart. It's not like
he doesn't already know, he just wants you to come and spend time with him to share, so he can help
you with whatever you may need. It talks about this in Philippians 4:4-6. This is one of my favorite
scriptures because all of it is very true. While in commune you can ask him to remove any
emotional baggage you have held onto and release it to him asking him to replace it with a good
emotion from him. This is also a key part in communion, releasing and removing garbage
from your soul since domestic abuse is wounding. Communion helps you with healing.
Since there is much going on in the world around us, we know the Lord is at hand, we acknowledge,
and when we do in thanksgiving, he can do much with our prayers giving all of us peace where we
need it. Peace is a very good part. It's also one of the fruits of the spirit.
Anyway, after you take the bread (can be a cracker or small piece of any bread or wafer), then you can
take juice, or water, or tea to represent the blood of Christ which washes away all your stuff (sin,
discouragement, disappointments, hurts, sorrows, etc.).
Communion strengthens, nourishes, and heals your soul. I know you want the strengthening in your
muscles, mind, heart, soul, the nourishing where you need it, and the healing through and through.
Whether you need healing from a wound, your finances, family members, nasty domestic abuse,
the way you were treated, and so forth, you're healing exponentially within you and with more on the
way. This powerful tool in communion moves mountains as you are consistent and believe with all
your faith. This is for all people, not only those who have experienced and are overcoming domestic
abuse.
I hope this writing is helpful and empowering to you beyond measure.
The excitement is bubbling, you can feel it within. Goodness is on the way even if you cannot see
it with your naked eye, it is on the way. Stay in hope. Listen carefully to the words you speak through-
out the day, what you speak over yourself and what others are speaking (if it is good. If not good, don't
take in the negativity).
HE is the bread of life.
Blessings!
