Courage, bucks, and ice cream in one walk

It was the walk to get ice cream, she decided on Mint Chip Gelato. Then, when she arrived

at the ice cream shop, she realized she forgot her money!

She wasn't sure what to do because she was on the walk of a lifetime. She couldn't ordinarily go

to the store, so she was elated for this trip.

Mostly, Sheena waited for slow Joe. Why she waited on him, nobody knows. He moved around

like a snail, and you never knew what his temperament would be like.

Sometimes Joe was happy like a person eating a chocolate chip cookie, other times, you'd think

somebody burnt his steak all tough like a basketball.

He wasn't always like that all the time. In many instances, you'd think he was the quiet, shy type

until he blew up like a balloon; oh the hot air. You know what a balloon is like either when popped

 with a pin or where the air is blown in, it's let out, and it just deflates everywhere.

Nobody wants to walk around hush- hush and afraid to talk. That is old school, annoying, a thing of

the past, or is it?

Well, walking back from the ice cream shop, Sheena decided she wasn't going to take any

sass from anyone (she really wanted that gelato!).

Since she forgot her money, she marched into the house and pulled out a ten from her purse, and

preceded out the door. The grim voice came from the background and said: "hey you, what are

you doing?" She mentioned she forgot her money. He said, "well, maybe you don't need any

ice cream today." She didn't sink this time. Nope, she got back in his face with pregnant

type stamina and said: "I am going for ice cream, and I will be the one to decide what I need

when I need it, and how I need it, you are not my decision maker."

Abusers, they don't like this kind of thing, which they see as rebellion because it challenges them.

Challenges put them on a new dimension they know nothing about, so it's freaky to them.

Having the courage to stand up to an abuser is phenomenal.

Imagine yourself in a yard full of pecans, and they are scattered everywhere.

You are making a pie, for at least 10 people. You want to gather as many pecans as you can find.

Making a pecan pie or two, enough for this many people, you must build up your

pecan stock. It's the same way with courage, building enough within your being so you can

ultimately use it when needed (most of the time).

We have enough starting as a young child, then we watch it prosper, but that doesn't always

happen, for life gets in the way.
