Sherlock, and the long lost family member
Hello Readers,
I took the weekend off to spend time with extended family, seriously.
After 23 years, one of my family members had not seen her son since
he was 4 years old.
It all started years ago when the little one was taken from her. She made
mistakes, drastic ones. She was rattled and haunted with the lost bonding connection she desired to
have with her son but knew not where he was until….
earlier this year, we hired a private investigator to find her child.
Questions were asked, papers were filled out, signed, notarized, and sent to the
appropriate county clerk's office, and so on earlier this year.
Finally, the big moment came after several phone meetings with her son. We got to meet him!
What a reunion! Pictures, moments, discussion, fellowship, hugs, food, time in church, all was
spent together over the weekend. What a happy time, with so many more to come.
The two look- alike, have similarities, and they know more about each other than they did.
It came to me last night what I was writing about today because there are so many women
having had a domestic violence background that may just be getting to know their long lost
relatives.
Often, times, women who have been in domestic abuse type relationships, are usually kept from
those they love. It's really a quite sad situation. But, as we see in this reunion, it's all beauty for
ashes, and gratefully so.
It could have been the other way around where the person wouldn't open their heart for this loved
one.
Thankfully it's not a closed-heart situation.
Closure can commence, and the heart starts to heal, praise God.
So that is my wish for the ladies who haven't seen their loved ones in a long time because they have
been trapped in a nasty position of a domestic abuse relationship, not able to see or sojourn with
those they truly love. They can embrace family, get to know them, learn about their heritage, and
more. Truly draw upon what is yours, your family, and become that circle of love, like a ring.
By the way, another visit will pursue at the end of summer.
