The Court with Snacks and Rewards; 9-5
Sharon said to Darren, "I got a PO." All he said was, "so."
She said, "you know, you better lay low."
His thoughts were different,
one of arrogance,
not one of inference.
She added, "the law is on my side,
go confide in an attorney
for the rest of your journey."
He was adamant about making her skin crawl
and start a brawl,
then make her fall or
throw her against the wall,
then buy her stuff at the mall
thinking she was still his baby-doll.
Oh, he was overbearing and way too tall.
She was a bit small, and he had the gall.
But you know what? The ball is in her court.
The law has systems in place
perpetrators must face
case after threatening case, penalties.
Jail for the violent male.
Court systems due to empower victims
affected by domestic violence
not to silence.
Snacks of justice
Rewards for her
cause a stir
helps her to be sure
for what she did endure.
Intimidating for her when she doesn't know what's for sure.
Face-to-face with the violent one and she comes undone
Vomits her breakfast honeybun
Wondering if she has won
because she needs clarity
and sincerity, it's a rarity.
The victory is already yours.
No more clogged pores
Or picked nervous sores
You have the keys to all the doors.
You are thinking differently now
and oh wow!
The difference is you are not scared anymore.
You have heard soothing words.
Encouragement, uplifting, comforting interaction
giving you great satisfaction.
The Word of God is here and destroying fear.
II Timothy 1:7 NIV, "For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love, and self-discipline."
Do you believe it?
Whatever you believe today is your tomorrow.
A life with God has no sorrow.
Remember, He is the vine.
He is so divine.
