Waskey, wakey,
no need for eggs and Bakey.
A coffee and muffin will do,
or shake it up, who knew?

Up, up, brush your hair.
Smooth and styled, not whacky and wild.

Up, up, make your bed.
Oh, the homestead.

Up, up, the choices for the day.
What do you say?
They pay your way,
yes, they do.
Clue 1, clue 2,
the bank is open to you.

Up, up, cash your check.
The fun you will have.
The vacations you will take.
The cake you will bake.
Make no mistake,
this is not a prank.

Up, up, north you go,
happy you sow.
Joy, you glow.
Faith, you know and show.

Up, up to the new day.

Eileen Seefluth has a love for writing, which began as a small child. She knew by the time she was 12 she wanted to be a newscaster/reporter. She overcame her own challenge with domestic violence a few years shy of 40. At that point she went back to school and earned her degree in radio and television broadcasting and communications. She has worked as a freelance news editor and writer at channel 8 in Tulsa. She spent four years in Toastmasters, winning a speech contest while there.
