In the Midst of an Order, the "Count" is on; What Will You Do?

While reading the news this morning, there was a story of a cutie from the 80's and 90's. The issue pressing was about domestic abuse.

The police were involved and even giving the child star a nickname, which was inappropriate. But maybe that's how they muster through the process, because law enforcement receives too many calls regarding domestic abuse. I am sure if they had a reject button, they'd press them when the seismic calls come in so they wouldn't have to worry about "how this call would work." The uncertainty of knocking on doors, who answers, how they are received, and so forth, how heated the situation is, and much more.

In this case, the perpetrator (child star) was made to sound like a monster, and maybe he is, maybe he is not. This story is filled with drama, alcohol, and physical engagement, and so forth. These are not on anyone's wish list.

What does your report say? Have you ever filed a police report? How about a restraining order? Ouch! Those words don't sound too great in a sentence. But, when you are looking for safety, those are the exact places you are going to scout for a measurable difference. Whatever your report says, know there is nothing to be ashamed of. No guilt or condemnation as you come forth with your story. It's important, valuable, and worthy of notating as you move forward in the right direction.

A restraining order and a protective takes a few minutes to fill out, depending on how fast you write and how quick you are to answer numerous questions. The difference with the two are:

There's a difference between the temporary restraining order and the protective order, and here is the number, 918-742-7480, for exact up-to-date information rather than me trying to explain it all. Decide which one you need to fill out and go to this address if you are in the Tulsa area:

600 Civic Center in Tulsa, OK 74103. For parking in the area, here are your options:

1. You can park close to the courthouse and that's about one dollar an hour for the meters.
2. You can park at Aloft (a hotel) where there is a buzzer and a gate. It is FREE, all you need to do is bring your license plate number to FSC.
3. Another option is the parking garage, it's a bit pricey, so most do not choose this option- but you know how the weather in Oklahoma gets, might be worth it to you.

In addition, there are rules you must follow in the state of Oklahoma with these orders, so be sure you are serious when you fill them out and ready to move on to your next page in life before you move further.
