Child custody issues are the pits! No, not from arms or apple cores, but from dreadful arguments and disagreements, power and control, and of course, money.

Have you ever sat or stood in the courtroom zealous for change but so zinged with intimidation, scared out of your wits with perspiration pouring out from your clothes yearning to shower immediately afterwards? Oh, I have!

Here are a few tips and suggestions to clear the mind, focus where your mind doesn't fret over the domineering statistics of fatherless households, which our nation needs no more of, and do speak and draw in what you declare with your mouth.

Tip number one. Be sure to research your judge. Pray for favor with the judge. Sounds simple, and it is. The accuracy is pinpoint and proven in scripture which has been around for longer than a minute (do not hold your breath!).

Who is he or she? What are their beliefs, upbringing, and any background information you can learn.

Tip two. Do you and your attorney mesh (get along)? Super important, otherwise you might have cat fights over the phone which would end up costing you over the moon expensive. What are the beliefs of your attorney? What are there mannerisms (it does matter)? Where did he or she go to school? Why are they an attorney? Listen to their story why they studied law, understand the connection, it's important, and connects you. Get the value for your almighty buck, you are going to need it. Understanding the value and words he or she speaks to you is so important.

As wild as this next tip sounds, pray for the other side.

I know, sounds as a wild bull ride, sort of is, but it is NOT. When you pray for the other side, the atmosphere changes and blessings come your way. I sure wish I would have known these gold nuggets when I was knee deep in this muddy merk. I am here now to share with you how to rise above and champion your situation.

Next, pray for peace and calm for you and the other side. The more you do, watch the waves of the Prince of Peace over take the circumstance. Remember, prayer will be needed more than once a day and with thanksgiving and belief as well as "faith" to activate the goodness from heaven. It's as flipping on a light switch, the light illuminates everything overpowering the darkness.

Another Tip:

Psalm 91 protection and safety over your children will put a hedge of protection around them as you meditate and speak these verses out loud every day. Pushing back the darkness is what God does so well.

I encourage you, as you pray, seek, take authority and stand your ground, enjoy your children as much as you can with these tips.

There was a time I did not have any of these tips even though scripture has been available for over two thousand years, I did not know of them.  Readers, it is well with you to speak them out loud as tools God has given and fight the good fight (of faith). You are a winner and so are your children.

Statistics by the US Census Bureau (www.census.gov) are far and wide with over 21 million reflecting custodial parents with their kids reported as of 2018, that's been a hot minute.

We thank #lawenforcement for their work. We thank those who fight for #justice. We thank the #prayer warriors, and most of all, thank #God for His goodness and answers to difficult situations. Custody wars through the ages and our nation now doped with Jesus as we move toward a new season in 2024.
