In the Haze: Lift and Shift, 101





Looking around

the camera does astound
from the news
to the television crews
are more than twos.

We won't dare have the blues
and here are some clues 
to take away any boohoos.

We will cast our care on the Lord.
Matt 6:25-34 says, not to worry.
You can stay home and make curry
or talk on your phone to Suri.

We wash off any defilements
with the blood of Christ
during the COVID-19 heist.

The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy.
We take authority, says the majority.

Speaking peace and ease commanding dark forces to seize
encouragement in the field
for God's Word is sealed and the land be healed.

We praise God's ways during this craze.
Soak in contentment casting off resentment,
it's not just a sediment.

Fresh days ARE ahead
Get out of bed
the land no longer in the red
Isolation smashed to the bottom of the abyss,
rise up, sis!
Remember, God is here, nothing to fear.

Eileen Seefluth has a love for writing, which began as a small child. She knew by the time she was 12 she wanted to be a newscaster/reporter. She overcame her own challenge with domestic violence a few years shy of 40. At that point she went back to school and earned her degree in radio and television broadcasting and communications. She has worked as a freelance news editor and writer at channel 8 in Tulsa. She spent four years in Toastmasters, winning a speech contest while there.
