The telephone rings nonstop.

The calls are coming from you, the woman reaching out for shelter, counseling, care, transportation, a new life!

Not knowing to expect, the caller continues with her story to at least 5-10 different people hoping to fulfill the caller needs. At times, it's promising, and other times, its flat with "no room at the Inn."

It's a tough call to hear. Nobody wants to hear that. Yet, it's true. But then you have prayers which nobody can ever take away, not ever.

Prayers are your answer. You speak the answer. You wait in faith and believe your prayers are taken care of, because they are.

Prayer is priority. Believing in them with all your heart.

Yes, the calls, the waiting, searching, gaining understanding and comprehending all is a process.

Think about the process of making Thanksgiving Dinner. What a process making all the food! It may take people days with trips to the grocery store and hopefully with a "list" moving everything in place. I know you picture this process you understand what I am saying.

As you do what you need to do for each dessert, food item, and specially making the big fat turkey and determining "how" you are going to cook it: Bake, deep fry, smoke, and perhaps there is another way to make it - I don't know that there is a rotisserie so big to put a turkey on- that's a big ask!

The point is the process does take time.

As you stick to the plan and focus on what is ahead instead of circumstances all around you, this will empower you in the process whether phone calls or other area of progress.

Listen on the phone call(s) to the person you are speaking with for their words they use, how fast they don't or how slow they speak, their tones of voice, gives you an idea of your phone call and the person with whom you are speaking, which are all very important aspects of your process.

Sure, there are those who will be taking intense phone calls and right before yours, after all, the call theme is intense. Remember though, the listening ear will not be rushed, therefore, the person will not rush you and will listen to what you have to say.

If possible, hot points written on paper. In most cases, you will need to give details, but not everyone of the people will need all of your details.

Let the caller know if you are safe or not. Are children involved? Are they safe? How old are they? How old are you? Do you have transportation? Where is the perpetrator? Are weapons involved? Also, you could be asked if you take any medications. Is there any medical diagnosis involved?

Getting to the point is what direction you will be sent.

I understand it is necessary for you to share your story with the right trusted individuals so the right people can provide justice, needed attention to specific areas eradicating unnecessary hurts, pain, and injustice or trauma.
