A timeline with feedback proves value







We reflect on the end of the month- Education and awareness from domestic violence.

I remember growing up looking at the church bulletin and studying the numbers toward the bottom; the budget. I was perplexed with what was coming in the church and the debts. The numbers were vastly different.

Today workshops, seminars, conferences, brochures, and other educational means are available.

Additionally, the timeline has changed, and more people are aware of what's going on around them.  Communities aren't hiding, and people are doing what they can to empower women from domestic violence.  Some are donating funds, and others are giving time volunteering, and many are advocating.

As we move forward in a new month, we are grateful for the changes and will continue to empower women from domestic violence.

Remember, time is on your side if you allow it.

Eileen Seefluth has a love for writing, which began as a small child. She knew by the time she was 12 she wanted to be a newscaster/reporter. She overcame her own challenge with domestic violence a few years shy of 40. At that point she went back to school and earned her degree in radio and television broadcasting and communications. She has worked as a freelance news editor and writer at channel 8 in Tulsa. She spent four years in Toastmasters, winning a speech contest while there.
