Driving through a neighborhood even on a sunny Sunday you can usually tell if it is safe to jot the number down for your possibly new residence.

Before you do, homework is involved- I know, we all love the extra research, but it pays off, BIG!

You scratch your head wondering if two doors down from you, or a neighbor the next block is on the naughty list...I'm not talking about from the movie Elf either.

Feeling and being safe are ultimate goals and truly important, especially after you have overcome domestic abuse.

"SAFE" like the umpire calls it in a baseball came. Except, this is no game. Safety is your ultimate goal. The whole reason you left domestic abuse so you would be safe in your mind, body, soul, will, emotions, your daily life, bank account(s), and home and neighborhood (guess that counts as daily life too).

Be sure to scout out what look peaceful. But we do know that a residence which looks peaceful, domestic issues may lurk just behind the front door- not cool.

One of the ways to eradicate the potential issue is investigate. You can research Tulsapolice.org if you are in the Tulsa area. If you are in another area, try www.nsopw.gov and you will find the peace you are looking for especially when your area comes up with zero.

Another avenue I would suggest is through prayer and peace. While specific prayers address various needs, Psalm 91 scripture is extremely helpful for protection. Speak Psalm 91 and feel the peace hover over you as you decide if your move is serving you.

Psalm 106 is scripture is another good use of words to speak over yourself and your new place.

If you are a believer, I strongly encourage you to pray in the spirit.

Ephesians 6:18 mentions praying in the spirit. If you don't know how, ask God to help you with this, He will help you and guide you with it.

This is all for now.
