Turning the Impossible into Manifesto

It has been 20 years since I "decided" to move forward, a life with no domestic abuse within the walls of where I reside. But the domestic abuse had to be pointed out to me from an outsider of what was going on.

It took guts, courage, and truly, I had to be convinced of what was happening.

Hello. I am Eileen. An advocate and ambassador empowering women against domestic abuse because it was a road I was on a long, long time ago.

It's nasty like the mold overgrown from decades ago underneath the sink in the bathroom that doesn't make people feel too well.

Once you make the choice to change specifics, life does change, but with your willingness and thoughts of newness, plus with all kinds of different action, you honestly have much better results.

The actions, are of course, positive. Being with people who you can trust. You might need to make some new friends, I did. Though some of my old friends were pretty great, it just reminded of a horrible time period, so I had to move forward from that particular time period.

Fast Forward Some Years

After I graduated in 2010 with a communications degree, the thought of creating this organization came to mind.

There are various dynamics and topics associated with empowering women against domestic abuse. They stretch like the elastic on a pair of pants, whoa!

My assignment, yes, assignment and gifts are to write and speaking to empower others through various types of writing.

I understand many moving parts of the domestic abuse puzzle since it's part of my past, but, I have also overcome it too-so, there's much to share, talk about, and oil you with the joy of the Lord.

We know, no two cases are alike. They might seem like it, but they are not.

I do know that when love wafts through, it changes everything. The smell of goodness we know. Whether we talk about the rich smell of blueberry muffins, people talking kindly to one another, or you are attending a wedding or baby shower, love is in the air.

Love is strong and thick, I'm sure you have read in Corinthians all about it. It will make you blush and gush all the way to Texas, just read it a few times especially when you don't feel like it, changes everything in your heart, mind, body, and emotions.

Philippians 4:6 is a good scripture to read and take to heart, helps tremendously.

A few more scriptures to meditate on that do make a difference:

Nahum 1:7, Habakkuk 3:19, Zephaniah 2:1.

These scriptures will empower you. I encourage you to not only read them, read them out loud in your quiet time more than a few times, and see how you feel, see the difference.

I will say I have made many changes, from dropping any attitudes, judgements, forgiving others (that's not always easy), and spending time to hear the Lord speak to me because I wouldn't have it any other way.

My hope is that this blog is encouraging to you and you will bless others with it as well. Hope is alive!
