Thread, an Idea, Thirteen Colonies & You're Living Proof

In less than a month, we celebrate Independence Day.

We all know freedom is the power to act, speak, or think as one wants without hindrance or restraint.

The American flag means: The stripes represent the original 13 Colonies: New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia. The stars represent the states of the Union. The colors of the flag are symbolic, too. Red symbolizes hardiness and valor, white symbolizes purity and innocence, and blue represents vigilance, perseverance, and justice.
I am mentioning these specifics to you now, and in the coming weeks, because freedom is our right.
As you empower from domestic violence, it is essential to know your rights.

I encourage you to rise -up in "voice" and know plenty of advocates are available if you are not ready to speak up. Think about friendly neighbors, who are your friends, church members, co-workers, supporters are everywhere you look.

It took me plenty of time to rise in speaking and having the confidence to talk about issues, ask questions, or even do well in job interviews.  I had flipped and flopped as a shoe on the beach for a while until more supporters encouraged me each time, but I also had to get in the "right" circles, the right places....and desire the change.
