Happy Thanksgiving with 8 feathers
For some, Thanksgiving is a turkey stuffed with memories; good or
bad.
Others look at this precious holiday as a season peppered with
hope, a christening for new beginnings, and how thankful they are for life
after domestic violence (8 feathers):
- Embraces (hugs) instead of brushes (run-ins)
- Kind words over abrasive and rash intrusive ones
- Gentle, welcoming spirits fill the air rather than ominous gray clouds of havoc
- Smiles and laughter and no more finger pointing and ugly ways
- Agreement instead of different pages
- Crisp, clear, inviting communication instead of attitudes and derogatory narratives
- Respect and honor instead of de-value
- Peace and thoughtfulness instead of chaos
Warm wishes, joy, and peace are found in most places that we
search, but not always evident. Fruitful and life-giving ways are not only
found in a sanctuary, but you know you will always find them there.
May you have a restful,
relaxing time, filled with joy and tasty food (& of course, good friends & family).
Psalm 34:8 “O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the
man that trust in him.”
