Holy Ghost: Not Ghost and Goblins!

Back when I was a little girl, we went knocking on doors for candy in our silly costumes, same thing a variety of ages do today, but this is why a better route is much tastier (your digestive system will love you!) for your days ahead.

First, a little backstory:  I have been a Christian for years now. It was only a few years ago I learned more in depth of the day, 10-31, and you should know as well.

It started with a conversation. A friend said, “you aren’t going to open the door to that are you?” I thought, what door was she talking about? I was a little puzzled. However, it was not the teaching I should take lightly, so I listened and gleaned the words she spoke to me about to me regarding witchcraft, which is what 10-31 is all about.

At first glance, you see the glitzy and colorful décor from the street on people’s yards as you drive or walk by.

A good part of the population who think the yard decorations and orange lights are cute or hilarious, and fun, are not so cute to others who know more in depth as they have eyes to see and ears to hear are repulsed or feel the décor and excitement are hideous. Yep, seriously.

One says to the other, “lighten up, would you?” The other, turns away and doesn’t batt an eye over the directions and says, “if you only knew…” A reminder, people with “fixed” mindsets do not see as clearly.

What there is to know is Halloween is a door for witchcraft. Some people say, “whoa….” How do you know? And what is that? Others, they just do not care and are “fleshy,” doing their own thing.

Some RED FLAGS for you are:

*Narcissism

*Control

*Nightmares

*Manipulation (a type of mind control)

* Certain song lyrics

* Complaining (yes, we all do this- kick it to the curb by choice!!)

*Anger

*Rebellion

*Spells

*Curses

*Incantations

*Evil networks (resource: JenniferLeClaire.org)

& the list is hot and heavy like a chick’s red lipstick on a hot date!

A prayer to keep in your back pocket is one by Cora Jakes Coleman. It’s a house cleaning prayer, among others.

For now, I leave you with this one:

“Lord, place me under the waterfall of Your love. Wash me with Your refreshing waters. Wash away all the burden-bearing, attachments, transferences, defilements and retaliation and any other ungodly thing that would try to weigh me down, wear me out or steal from me. Wash it all away and fresh me with Your love.

Father, I give this person, situation or encounter, all of it- every piece and every part to You. You are the answer Lord. You are the Greater One. I declare my faith in You, waiting on You. Father, I ask that you only give back to me what you have called me to carry, even if that is nothing at all, that’s fine with me.”

I recommend you pray this over yourself a few times a day or me as needed. When you feel icky and sticky, use this prayer.

Be on the lookout. When you do not understand something, go to the Lord, Google does not know everything! Seriously.

Scripture for you this week (& daily): Psalm 91 for protection.

Blessings to you, hope this content is empowering to you.
