Promising Shelter Forever and Always & The Signs

My bathtub was filled with pillows, blankets, coats, sweaters, and all protection items recently as we (& many others) were ready to dive into the tub to take cover from the chaotic atmosphere of tornadoes whipping through the state of Oklahoma.

The news was hot and heavy with coverage down to neighborhoods, which ours was within 2 miles of the polygon of the potential touchdown- scary!

I remembered Psalm 91 and kept speaking aloud that the Lord is my shelter.

One area I had overlooked until after my spouse came in from work was, look at the animals and see how they were responding to the whole situation.

Animals will tell you when danger is near whether with severe weather, domestic abuse, or other strange activity.

I am sure you have heard animals howling when first responders are passing through. Boisterous sirens and flashing lights, we all have heard and seen, and know the howling sounds of every kind of dog- they know what is up. Time to pray!

So, whether the chaos of the air is fasting approaching, or there is chaos in your home or your neighborhood, your animals will surely let you know with their responses somehow.

Weather Prayers to Keep in Mind:

We declare that energy formation is sucked right up in the air and no damage in Jesus' name.

We declare peace in the atmosphere in Jesus' name amen.

Protection Scriptures:

Psalm 91:1-11

Psalm 121:7-8

Isaiah 54:17

2 Thessalonians 3:3

Your safety and protection. You can trust in Heavenly Father. He is not like your earthly dad, whether your earthly dad was/is good or bad, Heavenly Father keeps you well.

My earthly father was very kind, loving, very generous, and hilarious.  I share about my earthly father with you for a moment in this writing as an author, and one who has overcome domestic abuse.

My earthly father was unique, in that he had no middle name out of 12 children, my grandmother just didn't want to give him a middle name, that's okay.

When I was a teenager, my dad would stand at the entrance of my bedroom and rock out with my radio blaring to wake me up if I did not get up on my own, which was many times!

He would sing Hank Williams and Hank Williams Jr. songs- that would surely get me up so he would stop singing! He would laugh so hard, I would wonder why he was laughing so much, because of joy.

I say all this to let you in my world, knowing my earthly father, and Heavenly Father is joyful, protective, supplies all we need, and guides us and gives us wisdom.

If you are not sure yet whether you believe in Him, take a to sit quietly a moment and open your heart to Him, He never disappoints, not ever.

Those who believe in Him already, yay!!! As you believe and use your authority in righteousness, you see He shelters you with His shield of protection and promises.

Scary stuff happens unfortunately, that is why it is important to be on guard, not in a freaky way, but to be on guard with your full armor, turn on your authority, and be ready. As you walk in the spirit, you discern what most people cannot.
