Starting Point

She learns from a young age. What is love, what is not? She sings melodies as she skips through her village. The American girls chalk out hopscotch on the side walks. Rich, poor, medium, doesn't matter what the race or what church they go to or if they don't go, domestic violence is prevalent.

What movie do you see being played for your little girl, or, the neighborhood girl? What is programmed for her, do you know?

Thankfully, little girls have a chance when communities step in if parents are hindered in any fashion.

A hug, your time, stories, playing ball, it all counts, one little girl at a time.

Eileen Seefluth has a love for writing, which began as a small child. She knew by the time she was 12 she wanted to be a newscaster/reporter. She overcame her own challenge with domestic violence a few years shy of 40. At that point she went back to school and earned her degree in radio and television broadcasting and communications. She has worked as a freelance news editor and writer at channel 8 in Tulsa. She spent four years in Toastmasters, winning a speech contest while there.
